I am more interested in the essence of a thing than in its appearance. All I have to work with is my life, and I choose subject matter because it resonates within. Often I employ symbolism because it has potential to communicate to the viewer on many levels simultaneously.

My recent work consists of images taken directly from a film. While these images are very personal, I offer them as maps of reality that have a universal message.
